I’m Koren, a San Francisco based yoga instructor specializing in a unique integration of Vinyasa yoga, mindfulness, and embodiment practices. My teaching is for the student who seeks both the yin and yang elements- a strengthening and grounding physical practice, married with introspective meditation. My guidance extends beyond the physical, as I encourage students to dive within and explore themselves on an all-encompassing level.

I incorporate thoughtful sequencing to combine fluidity, stillness and deep concentration of the body through precise alignment cues and sensory awareness. Contemplative themes are weaved throughout my classes, resembling a “meditation in motion” approach. I strive to honor the sacred roots of these practices through interweaving traditional philosophy and methodology, while also instructing from a place to serve yogis in a modern world.

Living in the midst of our fast-paced, modern culture, I am driven to help students pause, reconnect, and create space with their bodies, minds, and hearts. We all bring a unique story to the mat each time we practice, and I am honored to offer a container for this personal exploration and self study. I invite all levels, ages, shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and orientations, as I see diversity as a basis for learning and inspiration!

Yoga is the settling of the mind into silence. When the mind has settled, we are established in our essential nature, which is unbounded consciousness.

Mindfulness helps you go home to the present. And every time you go there and recognize a condition of happiness that you have, happiness comes.
